Grauburgunder Reserve

Grauburgunder Reserve

Grape VarietyGrauburgunder
LocationThe name “Hasel” was bestowed on this vineyard by wine growers many generations ago, after the numerous hazelnut shrubs to be found in the area. The soil is a result of the dry, cold climate of the Ice Age. Due to the effect of glaciers (high pressure), stone such as quartz, limestone, mica and clay particles were pulverized. These loess soils retain deep reservoirs of moisture. It is here that the strongest, thickest vines thrive very ripe Grüner Veltliner, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris and Pinot Blanc. Wines with a harmonious combination of strength, fullness, characteristics aroma and elegance.
Vinificationcontrolled fermentation with natural yeast, malolactic fermentation in oak barrels, maturation on lees for several months
